Why CoS Certified Was Built
I have spent more than twenty years doing CoS-level work — across financial services, healthcare, and publicly traded companies — before that title became as visible as it is now. I have watched people enter this role underprepared, exit it undervalued, and spend years doing the work without ever building the language to describe what they actually contributed.
These questions are not new. They are not unusual. They are what practitioners in this role carry — often alone, often without a community that gives them direct answers.
CoS Certified was built from these patterns. The curriculum was shaped by what practitioners actually need — a diagnostic for their role, frameworks for decision closure, a salary negotiation system grounded in real market data, a 30/60/90-day entry framework, and a clear account of what the AI shift means for the CoS seat. Not by what sounds good in a course description.
If you recognize yourself in any of the questions above, that is what this certification is for.
