By accessing, browsing, registering for, or purchasing any course, program, certification, or service offered by CoS Certified at coscertified.com or through any associated platform, you ("User," "Student," or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms incorporated by reference. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and When The World Sees LLC d/b/a CoS Certified ("CoS Certified," "we," "us," or "our").
If you do not agree to these Terms in full, you must not access our platform, enroll in any program, or purchase any products or services. These Terms apply to all visitors, waitlist members, free users, paying students, corporate clients, and any other person who interacts with CoS Certified in any capacity.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to use CoS Certified. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. CoS Certified does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and delete their data.
Business Users: If you are accessing CoS Certified on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and all references to "you" include that entity.
Enrollment Window: Upon successful payment, you receive access to the course content included in your purchased tier for 12 months from the date of enrollment. This is your completion window — all lessons, assessments, and capstone submissions must be completed within this 12-month period. Access is granted to one individual only and may not be shared, transferred, sublicensed, sold, or resold under any circumstances.
Post-Completion Access: Upon successfully completing your track (all modules passed, all capstones approved), you retain access to the course platform for an additional 90 days following your completion date. After this window, your platform access closes. Your digital credential (badge and certificate) issued through Certifier remains yours permanently and is not affected by platform access expiration.
Extension Policy: Students who require additional time beyond their 12-month enrollment window may request a single 3-month extension by emailing support@coscertified.com at least 14 days before their enrollment window expires. Extensions are granted at CoS Certified's discretion. Founding cohort members — those who enrolled prior to January 1, 2027 — receive one extension at no charge. Extensions for future cohorts may be subject to an administrative fee.
Credential Validity & Recertification: CoS Certified credentials are active for 24 months from the date of issuance. To maintain active certification status, credential holders must complete the applicable recertification requirement before their credential expires. CoS Certified will notify credential holders of recertification requirements no less than 90 days prior to expiration. Failure to recertify results in credential status changing from "Active" to "Expired" in the Certifier credential registry. Expired credentials may be reinstated by completing the recertification process.
Pre-Sale Disclosure: CoS Certified is currently in active development. If you enroll prior to full course completion, you are purchasing access to a program in progress. Module 1 of the Foundation Track will be delivered within 30 days of enrollment. Subsequent modules will be released on a rolling basis. You will receive email notification upon each new module release. Your 12-month enrollment window begins on your enrollment date regardless of when individual modules are released.
Access Revocation: CoS Certified reserves the right to revoke or suspend access in cases of: unauthorized account sharing or credential distribution; violation of intellectual property rights; abusive, harassing, or inappropriate conduct toward instructors, staff, or community members; violation of any provision of these Terms; or misrepresentation of credentials earned.
Platform Availability: While we strive for 99%+ uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or force majeure events may temporarily affect access. We will provide reasonable advance notice of scheduled maintenance. Extended platform outages exceeding 7 consecutive days will be excluded from your enrollment window calculation upon request.
Content Updates: Course content may be updated, expanded, or improved over time. Enrolled students receive access to updated materials within their purchased tier and enrollment window at no additional charge. We reserve the right to retire outdated content and replace it with improved versions.
All prices are listed in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed securely through Square. By completing a purchase, you authorize CoS Certified to charge your selected payment method for the full amount of your chosen tier.
Currency & Conversion: International purchasers are responsible for any currency conversion fees, foreign transaction fees, or charges imposed by their financial institution. The price displayed at checkout in USD is the binding price regardless of your local currency equivalent at time of payment.
Price Changes: Prices are subject to change without notice for new purchasers. Enrolled students will not be charged additional amounts for content updates within their purchased tier. Promotional and founding member pricing is time-limited and may be withdrawn at any time without notice. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively.
Taxes — United States: Applicable sales tax may be collected for US-based purchasers depending on state of residence. Tax amounts will be displayed at checkout where required by law.
Taxes — International: International students are solely responsible for determining and paying any applicable taxes, VAT, GST, or equivalent charges imposed by their country of residence. CoS Certified will provide invoices and receipts upon request to assist with tax compliance. Where CoS Certified is legally required to collect VAT or similar taxes from residents of specific jurisdictions, those amounts will be added at checkout.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase, provided that you have completed no more than 20% of the course content within your purchased tier. To request a refund, email support@coscertified.com with your name, order confirmation number, purchase date, and reason for the request. Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
Refunds are NOT available: After 14 calendar days from the date of purchase; once more than 20% of course content within your tier has been accessed; for capstone project review fees once a review session has been scheduled or delivered; for 1:1 coaching or review sessions once scheduled or delivered; for founding member or promotional pricing tiers where terms explicitly excluded refunds at time of purchase.
Dispute Resolution: Before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute, we ask that you contact us at support@coscertified.com. We are committed to resolving all concerns promptly and fairly. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in account suspension pending resolution.
All course content — including but not limited to video lessons, written materials, frameworks, worksheets, templates, assessments, capstone rubrics, the CoS Certified credential mark, proprietary frameworks ("Trust Velocity," "Principal User Manual," "CoS Readiness Map," "The Three CoS Archetypes," and all derivatives) — is the exclusive intellectual property of When The World Sees LLC d/b/a CoS Certified and is protected by United States copyright law, international copyright treaties including the Berne Convention, trademark law, and other applicable intellectual property laws worldwide.
License to Students: Upon enrollment, CoS Certified grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, time-limited license to access and use course materials during your 12-month enrollment window and any applicable post-completion access period. This license does not include any right to reproduce, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, resell, or commercialize any course material. This license terminates automatically at the end of your enrollment window or post-completion access period, whichever applies.
Prohibited Uses: You may not: copy, screenshot, screen-record, or download course videos or materials except as explicitly permitted; share login credentials or course content with any third party; create competing courses, training programs, or content based on CoS Certified materials; use CoS Certified frameworks or methodologies in commercial training or consulting without express written license; represent yourself as affiliated with or endorsed by CoS Certified without written authorization.
DMCA & Copyright Infringement: CoS Certified complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA notice to support@coscertified.com with: description of the copyrighted work; location of the infringing material; your contact information; and a statement of good faith belief. We will respond promptly to valid notices.
User-Generated Content: Any content you submit — including capstone projects, worksheets, and forum posts — remains your intellectual property. By submitting, you grant CoS Certified a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use anonymized or aggregated versions for educational improvement and marketing purposes, with appropriate attribution where identifiable.
The CoS Certified credential is awarded upon successful completion of all required modules, assessments (minimum 80% pass rate), and the capstone project for your purchased tier. CoS Certified reserves the right to establish, modify, or update certification standards and requirements at any time with reasonable notice to enrolled students.
Credential Validity: The CoS Certified credential is awarded to individuals and may be permanently displayed on LinkedIn and professional profiles globally. Credentials are issued digitally through Certifier or an equivalent credentialing platform and include a unique verification code and QR code.
No Employment Guarantee: CoS Certified does not guarantee employment, job placement, promotion, salary increase, visa eligibility, professional licensing recognition, or any specific career outcome as a result of certification. Individual results vary based on experience, effort, market conditions, and other factors outside our control.
Credential Recognition: Recognition of the CoS Certified credential by employers, professional bodies, regulatory authorities, or licensing boards varies by organization and jurisdiction and is outside our control. We make no representation that the credential will be recognized or accepted by any specific organization.
Revocation: CoS Certified reserves the right to revoke a credential in cases of: fraudulent completion of assessments; misrepresentation of credentials earned; violation of these Terms; or conduct that materially misrepresents CoS Certified or brings disrepute to the certification. Credential revocation will be communicated in writing with an opportunity to respond.
CoS Certified programs are provided for educational and professional development purposes only. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CoS Certified provides the platform and content "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We make no representations or warranties regarding: the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of course content; specific career outcomes, earnings potential, or professional advancement; the platform's uninterrupted availability; or the fitness of content for any particular professional context, industry, or jurisdiction.
Professional Advice Disclaimer: Nothing in CoS Certified's curriculum constitutes legal, financial, tax, human resources, or employment advice. The frameworks and methodologies taught are educational in nature. Students should consult qualified professionals for advice specific to their situation.

Aggregate Liability Cap: Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms, regardless of the theory of liability, shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the program in question during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim giving rise to liability.
You agree not to use CoS Certified's platform, content, or services for any purpose that is: unlawful under any applicable local, national, or international law; harmful, threatening, harassing, abusive, or discriminatory toward instructors, staff, or community members; intended to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform; designed to circumvent or disable any platform security measures; or in violation of any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
Access Restrictions: You may not access our platform if doing so is prohibited by the laws of your country of residence. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of CoS Certified complies with all laws applicable to you. CoS Certified complies with applicable US export control laws and sanctions programs and does not knowingly provide services to sanctioned individuals or entities.
AI and Automation: Automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction of platform content is strictly prohibited. Use of AI tools to circumvent assessments, generate capstone submissions, or misrepresent your own work constitutes academic dishonesty and may result in credential revocation and account termination.
CoS Certified uses artificial intelligence tools — including the CoS Career Agent — to provide personalized assessments, recommendations, and career guidance. By using these tools, you acknowledge and agree that: AI-generated assessments are for educational guidance only and do not constitute professional career counseling, employment advice, or psychological assessment; AI outputs may contain errors, biases, or inaccuracies; results should be considered alongside your own judgment and professional advice from qualified counselors; and CoS Certified does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated readiness assessments or career recommendations.
Data Use in AI Tools: Responses provided to the CoS Career Agent and other AI tools may be used to improve our AI systems in anonymized or aggregated form. We do not use your identifiable personal information to train AI models without your explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details on AI data practices.
AI Limitations: The CoS Career Agent is not a licensed career counselor, therapist, or employment advisor. It cannot predict hiring outcomes, guarantee role readiness, or replace qualified professional guidance for significant career decisions.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. This choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections available under the laws of your country of habitual residence.
Informal Resolution First: Before initiating any formal dispute process, you agree to contact CoS Certified at support@coscertified.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will respond within 10 business days and attempt to resolve the matter within 30 days of receipt of your notice.
Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Commercial Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall be conducted in English, in Virginia, USA, or by videoconference. The arbitrator's award shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class Action Waiver: You waive any right to participate in class action litigation or class-wide arbitration. Claims must be brought on an individual basis only.
Small Claims Exception: Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court for disputes within the court's jurisdictional limits, in lieu of arbitration.
Modifications: CoS Certified reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be available at coscertified.com/terms. Where required by applicable law, we will notify enrolled students of material changes by email with at least 30 days advance notice. Continued use of our platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the platform and contact us regarding your enrollment status.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms for specific programs, constitute the entire agreement between you and CoS Certified regarding your use of the platform and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
